I just wanted to say thank you to those few blog buddies who have stuck with me even though I have been a bit infrequent posting! You are my inspiration to keep blogging … I would be so sad to lose contact with you! So even though life has changed a little in the last year or so … and I don’t have the same time for blogging … I still keep coming back to keep in touch! Thanks for your patience & for your encouragement! 😀
This is the Valentine’s card I made for Gav this year! (A little late in sharing … I know!) I tried out the ‘black magic’ technique that I hadn’t used in A-G-E-S! The background stamp is a Jumbo Wheel stamp that I removed from the roller & used for Sheree’s wedding invitations. I attached it to a clear block & stamped the
image twice. Then selectively added some colour (Prismacolour pencils) to various phrases in pink & red. I think it looks quite effective! The red die cut heart was the perfect way to make it a tad more interesting … without taking away from the background effect! The red bling really makes it sparkle!
Well … off to Gav’s mum’s today … with Gav’s sister … and Bree + Stacey who has today off!!! It will be a nice relax after a busy week! I spent all day yesterday baking for our church SALE tomorrow. My back was aching by the time I was finished! It will be nice to sit and play ladies today! 😉 Hope you all have a great day … and a wonderful weekend!
What a lovely card – I’m intrigued by the way you you got the colours in the background! Great effect!
Loving your verse too – too cute!
All the best for your sale day tomorrow – we are off to a church family camp 😉

Have fun at the camp … Gabbi! Always a good time of sharing! Thanks for popping by with such a lovely comment! The technique is quite simple. Stamp image with Whisper White craft ink. Allow to dry completely … then colour over the top with pencils. Watercolour (or prisma colour) pencils are good because they are nice and soft … but you can use normal colouring pencils! Hugs xxx

Ohhhh, Andrea! This is AWESOME. Love that big heart over the black…so cool. I know what you mean about not having as much time to blog…I’m in the same boat and really only have time (and barely that) to participate in the two teams I’m a part of. Life comes first…it is what it is. 🙂
