Remember this …..
I shared this photo … exactly 5 years ago. This is Brampton Island in Queensland … where Gav & I spent our 25th wedding anniversary. I know that I have some blog friends who have been with me for that long … and will remember! Yes … today is our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Gav & I went away again to celebrate (just as we do EVERY year) … to a lovely place … nice & quiet called Bowral. (Southern Highlands NSW) Not quite so flashy as Brampton … but PERFECT just the same. We spent a lot of time reminiscing & realising how very blessed we are. It has been an amazing 30 years! So … our hotel room was overlooking this …
How picturesque! The weather was simply beautiful … and we had a lovely time wandering around Bowral, Moss Vale, Kangaroo Valley … and other places around the Southern Highlands. It really is pretty country … especially this time of the year when all the autumn colours are on full display! We ate out … had yummy breakfast buffets … and the dinner restaurant at the Hotel had the most scrumptious food! I was very spoilt!
So … I wanted something a little special for a card for Gavin. He always appreciates my ‘work’ … so I knew he would like this one! No stamping! I didn’t even realise until I had finished! I had pulled out the heart die as a starting point … and it evolved from there! The bow is the ‘Ridiculously Tiny Bow‘ that I found on the internet! I must buy some of the SU! Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets! It would make sticking these fragile die cuts much easier! 😉 I was trying to capture the ‘sheen’ of this lovely card in a photo … I think you can ‘just’ see how pretty it is. I used some left-over card from Sheree & Murray’s wedding stationery! This is really quite a simple card … the only tricky bit was sticking the heart to the card.
I had a good giggle at the card that Gav gave to me …
Gav is a romantic … even though it doesn’t appear that way with the card he chose!!! Lastly I wanted to share the beautiful gift from our wonderful family. We are so blessed to have such amazing kids (+ hubbies & grand-daughter).
This picture is a “DEE KRAMER” creation! Wow! If you would like to see some wonderful photos (particularly of the Illawarra/Shellharbour region – where we live) … then you need to visit HERE! Sheree & Murray were given a gorgeous photo of Wollongong Harbour taken by Dee on the morning of their wedding as a wedding present from Ree’s class & parents. The Kramer’s daughter was in Sheree’s class last year … so it was a very special treat. I am keen to visit their studio … which is only about 5 mins drive from here! We were very excited to receive this from the kids.
Anyway … enough of me … I am off to do some blurfing! (After all … it IS my 30th anniversary today!) 😉
PS: Yes … I was a CHILD BRIDE!!!
Congratulations on your 30th wedding anniversary.
