Well … I have a stack of cards to share … just need to find the time to post them all! This is one of the Mother’s Day cards that I made back in May! This was for my mum. 🙂
The colours are really soft and feminine … and the centre panel is created using the ’emboss resist’ technique. I forgot to do this on glossy card though … so it was a little tricky blending the sponged colour! (I did put ‘glossy white’ on my card recipe … so you wouldn’t make the same mistake.) I added some spritzing over the top. I have just re-discovered my spritzer and have used it a bit lately. (Can’t believe it is being retired from SU! in the coming catty!) Love Love the new butterfly punches … so easy to create something pretty really quickly! Also love these two colours together! Wisteria Wonder & Pool Party. I am celebrating that Pool Party is staying permanently! (I had bought 3 packs of the card … before I found out!) 😀 😉
It is the June (Queen’s Birthday) long weekend and my twin sis (Christine) & hubby (Ian), Gav & I are away together at a very peaceful and relaxing holiday house right on the edge of Burrill Lake (Sth Coast NSW). It is soooo quiet here! But … it is soooo nice to get away from all the hustle and bustle of life. You can actually hear yourself think. 🙂 I have done some reading … some facebook catch up … pinterest catch up … feedly catch up. We have watched a couple of movies, a LITTLE TV, the boys have played cards, Christine & I made up Skye’s 21st invitations (after I spent 4 1/2 hrs cutting all the ‘bits’ last Thursday). It has been lovely. So … we have one day to go … leaving around 4ish this afternoon for a 2 hr trip home. (Maybe 4 hours depending on the long weekend traffic from the South Coast to home!!!) There are a couple of pics on my facebook page if you would like to have a look!
Well … back to real life tomorrow! I need to start organising that 21st party … and plan for our trip to Vanuatu! (More later!) See you all again soon! Hugs xxx

Know exactly what you mean about peace and quiet. Till we moved to the mountains I had forgotten how lovely the sounds of birds can be. We have been watching baby woodpeckers being fed and the hummingbirds are now finishing 2- 30 ounce feeders a day. Your card for Mom is so feminine and gentle–I know she loved it.
Thanks for sharing. I forwarded this posting with my Aussie friend since you included a pic of the lake. Anxious to learn if she knows of Burrill Lake.
Hugs and smiles, Reva
