En Francais Sympathy

Hello my friends!

Well … another morning in bed. Seems the severe ‘hayfever’ I had yesterday was actually the beginnings of a bad cold. Today I am hot & blocked up with a runny nose & scratchy throat. It is not super bad … but with a busy weekend ahead … including a wedding tomorrow, I thought I would take it easy this morning … have a little snooze & then get up this afternoon & do the baking I need for the weekend!? Sounds like a plan??? I am not wallowing … just being practical! 😉

I do have a couple of sympathy cards to make … but that will have to wait until Monday. I also have a couple more to share after a recent ‘run’ of them! I have to say …. as soon as I saw this card on Pinterest … I knew I just HAD to make it. This gorgeous design was inspired by Mariana Grisby’s card … you can find it –> HERE! I did change the colour combo … you know how much I love Pool Party/White/Black! The punched edge is a different one … and so is the flower and background stamp … but basically is it based on Mariana’s card.

Well … we are going out to dinner tonight with some friends (I know … I should be staying in bed!) … but we / they have cancelled twice already … so we really MUST make it tonight. Tomorrow morning we have a 9am wedding in Sydney … and then on Father’s Day we have an afternoon tea (here) with Gav’s parents & most of the kids. It is also Gav’s mum’s birthday on Sunday. Then … the girls are all cooking dinner for Gav on Sunday night! Family dinner! Love it! I also need to fit some baking in before Sunday … and make a dessert for tonight. (Which is nearly finished!) BIG WEEKEND! Hope your’s is a special one too!
