Hi bloggies!
Recently the girls at my hair salon celebrated 10 years of business with a lovely afternoon party. The salon is owned by two sisters — both hair dressers — and a friend who owns the beauty side of the business. The sister’s mum (also a hair dresser) works in the salon too. I started going to this salon just a few months after they opened … and have been going ever since. Every 6 weeks for nearly 10 years … and also to have my nails done from time to time.I have worked out that is about 140 visits over the last 10 years! All 3 of my girls have had their bridal hair and makeup done there, too! I have been a great ambassador for the salon bringing along — my whole family (hubby, 2 sons, 3 daughters, 3 son-in-laws) — my sis & her 2 daughters — a friend & 2 daughters — an elderly couple from church — another couple of my daughter’s friends etc etc. So … it was nice to pop along to the salon and share in the celebrations.
This is the card I made for the girls to go with a little congratulations gift that I gave them. So … You may have noticed there is NO stamping on this card! All the impact is from some fabulous die cuts and some gorgeous papers/card. I have used some silver foil sheet, red shimmer card and some pretty fancy foil vellum. The dies I have used are Elizabeth Craft Designs “Balloons” and Paper Smooches “Birthday Words”. I was pretty happy with this one!
Hope you are enjoying my recent posts! It has been fun being back more regularly. Hope you are all having a great day! Hugs xx

This is going into my inspiration files for sure. It is elegant, but also totally cheerful and festive! A wonderful combination of vellum and shine and shimmer!

It was NOT this post that the “comments closed” bit the one where the wee rainbow heart card was.
So sweet that you helped the business celebrate this was Andrea. Love the wee notion of the heart too. ooxx
