Are you like me??? Do you dream of visiting Paris one day? Whenever I see something French … suddenly I have the most amazing and sexy French accent … oh wait … that is just inside my head!!! (grin) I think in reality it would probably sound like Pepe Le Pew! (more grins!) Well … I have a couple of stamp sets that are distinctly French. Pity I have little idea what to do with them! But … I did try ……
Cet ensemble de timbre est tellement mignon … This stamp set is such a cutie! I did do high school french … way back when! But … I have to be honest … I googled that translation!!! (wink) I must get this set … Penny Black’s – “A Day in Paris” … out again and have a play! I have just stamped and sponged some ink around to give the effect of a scent. The images are stamped with black ink and coloured with markers. Card recipe below!
Here is another birthday card I made for my sis back in March …
Another “French” looking set … or perhaps it is just the name of the set that makes me think that?? “Language of Love”! (SU!) I think you can just see the soft heart stamped behind the white one and a row of heart below. I used the Illuminations ink for this one … it is a really pretty soft watermark look. I think it might be more effective using a background all over stamp. I tend to use the same old embellies when I do my card making … but have added a pretty ribbon rose and a sweet key charm to this one! Must remember to use these more often!
And … just one last card for today …
This was for my niece’s birthday (also in March) … the day before her mum’s! I dragged out an old faithful stamp set for the background for this one! “Simply Said” … one of the first SU! sets I ever bought! I teamed it with some pretty “Sweet Sorbet” DSP and some bling … and voila! (giggle … I know more French than I thought!) 🙂
Working on some card packs to sell … one of these days I will get them up online for you to see! I have to be happy with them first! Hope you all have a great weekend! Soccer is off … so it is nice to have the boys home this afternoon! See you all later! Hugs xxx

Did you know on your wedding card post, it says “comments closed”? So I have to comment on both here. You don’t have to thank me for commenting – it’s really good to have you back again. I’m glad life is giving you some time to create and blog. Your wedding cards are amazing – I love that falling hearts die and I love that you let it be the center of attention with just a simple bow and sentiment. And such a fun set of cards today – love all of the fresh colors!

Lynda has had the same trouble, Kim! I think it is my end … But not ‘cos anything I have done. For some reason my default “comments open” is randomly choosing posts not to work on. Will keep an eye on it … And report it to wordpress support if it keeps happening. Thanks for letting me know! Hugs xxx
Ps … Fixed it for that particular post!
