Flower Fun!

Hibiscus card LB'13 (3)Hi bloggies!

I am finally getting through some of the back log of card photos that I have been storing up for months … but as fast as I blog them … I am getting more done! 🙂 Anyway … another multiple card post today. Hope you are enjoying these posts! I have chosen some flowery cards today … to brighten up a grey wet miserable rainy day!

Hibiscus card LB'13 (1)Hibiscus card LB'13 (4)My first card today is a summery card using the Verve Hibiscus stamp. I love this little cutie! I am longing for summer. It was a surprise to look out of my kitchen window this morning … when it was pouring with rain … and notice that one of my hibiscus bushes in the back yard has just started flowering again! 🙂 It was a little ‘sunshine’ in an otherwise gloomy day. I did have a lovely snuggle with the grand kids under a blanket in front of the TV watching ABC for kids … and Seth even fell asleep on my lap! 🙂 So … it might have been gloomy outside … but inside it was just the best! I have added a tiny bit of sparkle to the centres of each of the flowers. This colour combo is really pretty IRL! The flowers are coloured using markers and each is ‘fussy cut’! Took a little while … but well worth the effort! (A die for this stamp would be lovely!)

Kind & Cosy Alice'13 (3)

My second flower card today is another BRIGHT one! 😉

Kind & Cosy Alice'13 (1)Kind & Cosy Alice'13 (4)I found this set of punches recently and have been using them for a set of mini cards that I am working on. I do like how happy this card is! Another pretty colour combo … and of course … some bling! The stamp is from the sweet “Kind & Cosy” (SU!) set. There is some dry embossing on the white strip to add a little more interest.

And … a quick bonus card I made for my sis-in-law for her birthday earlier this year using the Prickly Pear – “Butterfly Tree” stamp! Isn’t it lovely!

B'day KD Jan'14

Well … off to bed! I have an early start tomorrow … with Sandy’s school state athletics carnival in Sydney tomorrow. (1 1/2 hour drive there and we have to be there by 8.15am!)  We have had an exceptional amount of rain in the last two days … and our front paddock filled up nearly to the road height again! (I have only seen it do that once in the 14+ years we have been here! — Check THIS POST if you are interested. Was it really 3 1/2 years ago??? ) It is supposed to rain again tomorrow … of course!!! Sandy spent his school athletics carnival out in “gale force” winds … his zone carnival was a rainy day … and now this state one is going to be another wet one! With all the wonderful sunshiny weather we have had this winter … you would think we might have had ONE nice day to sit and watch him compete! 😯 It will be miserable … but that’s what mums do … isn’t it! 😉 Take care if you are anywhere affected by the rain! Hugs xxx

Hi Andrea, I am thoroughly enjoying having you pop in on my emails again. Of course I remember when your paddock flooded. We have been fortunate this summer the monsoon rasins have bee good but the drought will need snow pack if it is to end. I admit I wasn’t sure what a paddock was so I check with my Aussie friend We always have a good ‘natter’ ( as she puts it) a couple times a week, Thank you for sharing your creations and family events. Hugs and smiles, Reva

Andrea please excuse the spelling errors. The space for typing –well only the upper part of each word was visible–but then again I am not the greatest speller or typist.

  3. What a great collection of cards Andrea. The first one is very pretty. Love the funky second one with all those punched flowers. Great idea!! The stamp on the third one is really lovely. Love them all. I am glad you are getting some stamping in. It has been pretty miserable with the weather so I hope you don’t get too flooded there. Take care xx
