Shabby Music … plus more …

Shabby Music (3)Hi bloggies!

Well … I am finally back to share again with you guys! I thought that the school holidays were going to be a chance to relax a little and do some of my ‘stuff’ … but it seems exactly the opposite! The boys have sat down to watch a movie tonight … and I have agreed to sit with them as long as I can have my computer too! They are watching “The Avengers” … not really my kinda movie … but at least it looks as if I am slightly interested!!! (wink)

Shabby Music (1)Shabby Music (4)I thought I would share a couple of cards that I had added to Pinterest awhile ago … but hadn’t got around to blogging yet. This first was a layered image card … a technique that I really like and must remember to play with a bit more often. The sheet music background stamp (Just Rite Cling – Amy Tedder “Shabby Music Background”) has a bit of a ‘grungy’ edge to it. It is a fab background stamp! I have heat embossed the flourish image (Hero Arts – “Leafy Vines”) with white embossing powder and brayered the colour over the top. I used a tissue to remove the excess ink from off the embossing. (Emboss Resist technique.) All the details for creating this card can be found in my CARD RECIPE at the end of this post! 😀 Card Inspiration: Lin – “Hearts, Hugs & Flowers”

IMG_0397My second card today is another layered image card. This is a little less busy … but I do love the soft colours (2014-15 SU! in-colours) with some vintagey sponging around the card pieces. I have used the Chalk Talk sentiment stamp and matching framelit. Card Inspiration: Carol Payne

Robyn S Feb'14And … my third card is using a stamp set that I bought and then when it arrived wondered why??? I actually really like the sentiment / image combined type of stamps that are in these sets … but am a little unsure how to use them. But … I guess this was okay for my first attempt. I have promised myself that I will get it out again soon and have another play. I am finding the sequins a little hard to resist lately. Definitely a trend that I have embraced! 😀 Card Inspiration: Korin Sutherland

Well … I am keen to upload some more photos and edit them … so might go and do that! I hope to see you again soon! Hugs xxx

  1. Three great cards. Love the banners – I always feel I can’t get them to sit properly but everyone else’s always look fab to me.
I have some sets I have bought and then thought why did I get this? Funny isn’t it.
Another who thought I would get a little more creative in the holidays only a couple of days left and I can not see much crafty time.
