Hi bloggies!

I spent some time on Thursday night completely revamping my “Fun Challenges” page … after realising that the links were all playing up! It was time for a clean up … as several of the challenges I had listed … have since finished up and are no longer running. I hope you check out the new page … because there are heaps of links (now working) for lots of fabulous challenges. I always find a challenge is a fantastic starting point for a card. A few colours … or a new layout … is often just what you need to get the mojo pumping! I haven’t had much time for challenges over the last couple of years after being such a devotee previously … but am keen to get into the routine again now! If time will permit! I am just popping by quickly to get this card posted in time for the dead-line of the latest Freshly Made Sketches challenge. (One of my FAV sketch challenge blogs!)

Fifth Avenue Floral (3)I saw a card on Teneale’s Blog last week … that really caught my eye and made my fingers itchy!! 😉 I just had to break out my blendies and have a try with the “Fifth Avenue Floral” rose! Yes … the set is retired … but is one that I will have trouble parting with and always enjoy playing with! I was actually pretty tickled with the result … and feel like I am beginning to get the hang of the blendabilities! 😀 After colouring the roses, I went looking for some inspiration for the layout for the card … and realised that the two roses would fit as the 2 circles in the FMS sketch! I had so much fun with this one! I used some Washi Tape for the strips along the bottom. A big thanks to Teneale & to FMS for the inspiration!

Gav & Shane are excited … their team … the Bulldogs are in the Grand Final of the NRL. So … of course … they are looking forward to watching the match tonight! Gav deserves a night off after spending 12 hours yesterday doing board interviews for the new CEO of our school. (And he has another day of the same tomorrow!) Today has made up for it though … with the whole family at church this morning … here for lunch and dinner and to watch the match! I am always excited to have the whole family here together! Hope you are having a great weekend. xx
