Blossoms Window (1)

Hi bloggies!

Well … I hope you all had a safe and happy Easter Break! We had a reasonably quiet one this year after a few hectic ones over the last few years.

SSI - 2016-03-25 Sandy PKFCYth vs AP Rd1 (5)

Sandy (that’s him in the air!) won his 1st round soccer match at the higher grade and managed to score 2 goals. It was a little nerve-racking now that he is playing with the Youth Grade (U21s) at only 17 (nearly 18) but he seemed to fit in ok. Did I tell you he has also been offered a 1st grade (open) contract … which he will ease into as the year progresses? He is pretty excited about it all. My biggest challenge is to keep him focussed on his HSC (Yr 12 certificate).

So … today I am sharing a card Leonie found on Pinterest … and we had fun creating it together at a stamping weekend we had last year at her home. I still haven’t purchased this sweet pansy punch … but I do have the Birthday Blossoms set … so perhaps it has to go on my ‘wish list’? The original design was slightly different … not a tri-fold card … but a great place to start for inspiration. I think I should have stamped the  blossoms on the front of the card in Crumb Cake (stamped off perhaps?) rather than the Blushing Bride … but … am happy with the result, anyway! Hope your week is going well … we had 3 lots of not so great news this week. I am thankful that I know that God has it all in his hands and will work it all out! Hopefully next week will be better. 🙂  Hugs xx

  1. Well done to Sandy. That’s a great result. I think he will hold his own in the team but I know as Mums we worry. Great card. Snap! I have one exactly the same. Funny that 😉 I hope all is OK on the news front. Sending hugs and prayers x

LOL … I wondered if you had shared it on your blog? Thanks for your concern … just a couple of (major) hick ups with work for Gav … an uncle who is very very sick … and a disappointment for no. 1 son! But … God knows! I am ok! Hugs xx

Hope next week is better 🙂
Best of luck keeping Sandy at the studies – it can be a chore for us parents!

Hey Lady! Long time no visit… it’s been a crazy year for me… so glad I have found your blog (again!). What an awesome card. Love the window opening and all the pretty flowers. The soft colors look wonderful. Must be fun watching your son playing soccer. 🙂

Andrea this is so pretty and spring-like. Yes spring is fast arriving in my mountain area. Yet we had 2 bursts of fluffy snow yesterday. It melted between snowfalls–hubby listed them as a trace. Been a while since I have attended grandsons soccer games-(high school days are long past). While I wait till my newsletter arrives I must remember to check in daily. Trusting days are starting to be better for you.
    Hugs and smiles, Reva

Hi Reva! Thanks so much for being here again! Always puts a smile on my face. I am not managing to get here every day with a new card … but at least I am a lot more regular than a couple of months back! Hope you are enjoying the inspiration … and are doing some creating of your own? Hugs xxx
