Hi bloggies!

Just a quick little card today … lots of colour … but sweetly simple …

2DCEAAC0-8265-4870-A735-AB39F3F055FC

We have a big cleanup going on at our place today. All the boys are here! (And the rest of the family too!) Imagine … a big 3 space shed plus another smallish lean to shed. Imagine … timber off cuts and tools … mowers and motor bikes … a ramp to ride bikes into the dam … a camper trailer … a rubbish heap … ski boots … fencing wire … a chook pen hidden by lantana … and the list goes on! We have to move out early next year for the next stage of development around our farm. So … we need to do a big clean up before we go. Then when we come back (2 yrs later and 97.5 acres smaller) … we can start planning for our new house. Sigh … we have been waiting for over 12 years … and it is still probably another 3 years before we finish and occupy our “dream” home. I can only take comfort in the fact that God’s plans are best and His timing is perfect.

Anyway … I had better go …

Hope you have a happy weekend! I’m sending lots of colour your way.

  3. Dear Andrea, You have a new picture and I have finally caught up with your postings since mid September. We took a 9 day trip on the Rocky Mountaineer starting in Vancouver, BC thru Parks Canada ( Jasper and Banff) It was a 60th anniversary gift to us from us. Sadly 4 days after returning our 12 year old German Shepherd died suddenly. So readying for winter weather needed doing and life goes on.

I have enjoyed your postings–and I feel my spirits being lifted. Thank you. Good luck with your clean up. I know how much work you have been facing. All will be worth the end result. Hugs and smiles, Reva

  4. Dear Andrea, Did a family member embroider the cloth that this card was photographed on? If so, it is a treasure and you are fortunate to have it.

  5. It was SO good to hear from you! I love reading your family stories – you can make even a big clean-up sound fun and exciting! I hear you on “timing”. We have had our home (and only 5 acres) for 27 years and from day 1 had intended to plow the house and start over (the land has an incredible view of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Guess what? Still in the same house and as we are very close to being empty-nesters, we are starting to think about totally down-sizing and moving into town. Life is always full of surprises and the only way to deal with it is to realize that His timing is perfect!
