Hi bloggies!
Like many, many card makers … I look to the internet for inspiration and ideas for my card making. I am in awe of the wonderful card makers who spend time sharing their expertise via YouTube videos. I can only imagine the time that goes into making these videos available but I love watching … and my fingers itch to create! One of may FAV YouTube card makers is Kelly Latevola. I love her style … her creativity … her sense of humour … her clear instructions … and her sometimes hilarious, sometimes moving but always entertaining stories! Thanks Kelly, for all your efforts and inspiration! 😘😀 Here is her YouTube link … KELLY.
So … that intro was to let you know that this card was completely Kelly! I just had to try this card after watching her video. And … yes … mine is a tad different. All my grey Copic markers were dry and needed refilling … so because I was limited by this … my ice is far too dark! And … I had to add a little pink to my Polar Bear!! 🤭 So … then … I decided to give my mountains a darker look to give the impression of dusk / nightfall … rather than the softer colours that Kelly used. And … although I was trying to capture the sunset reflection … my penguin’s feathers are far too yellow!! 🙃 But … considering how much of a “learner” I am with copics I was pretty tickled with the result. I have learnt a lot about technique and light from Kelly’s videos and it just goes to show what a difference a great teacher can make! 😃
