Hi bloggies!

I have another Whimsy Stamps card to share. I am in LOVE with their cutsie images! They just put a smile on my face!

I have done 3 different cards with this image. 2 similar … which I will show you later … and this one!

Whimsy – Penguin Oops!

Hi there!

I have done all my Christmas shopping and it is gift wrapped and under the tree! Feeling pretty organised … but still have to think about food for 3 family Christmas events at our place. Christmas Eve is our time with our kids and grandkids. My extended family is going to be away over Christmas so we are having a day together on the 17th Dec … and Gav’s family is coming on the 26th. So … I had better get myself organised … I have cooking to do!

I usually make 4 of each Christmas card … just to be efficient with my limited time. This one I did in two different colour schemes … one mainly gold colouring to match the DSP … the other a little brighter.

A cutie-pie image and some glitter snowflakes on the black background is really eye-catching.

The most wonderful time of the year!

Hi again friends!

Time for another Christmas card … I still have quite a few to share!

This is one of the images that I pre-coloured with my COPICS. When it came to finishing these cards … it was a little tricky wondering what to do with them. Then I found this new sentiment stamp I had recently bought … problem solved!

The snowflakes are die cut from white card stock and then the colour was sponged onto them. An easy option for matching colours!

  • Impression Obsession – Most Wonderful Time
  • Verve – Holiday Greeting

How are your Christmas cards going? I was finished even before the end of November. It was such a help to have done all the COPIC colouring during our October holiday. Hugs xxx

Christmas time

I have just about finished my Christmas cards for this year. It did help that I had done a heap of COPIC colouring while we were on holidays at Dolphin Point in October.

I was actually going to add this embossed tree to one of my coloured images but realised it was too fussy and that it could be a stand alone card. In the end I was happy with the decision. The dry embossing is done on vellum card and has been coloured on the back side using gold Wink of Stella and on the front side using clear Wink of Stella. It is pretty hard to see … but it has a lovely shimmer.

And … as promised … here are some photos from Sandy’s yr 12 formal.

Christmas in June!

Christmas X4 (4)

Hi there!

No! … I haven’t started my Christmas cards early!!! This is one I made last year that I hadn’t share yet. It is actually a CASE that Leonie and I created together.

Christmas X4 (6)

I still have heaps of this gorgeous “Winter Wonderland” DSP left over from last year. I just didn’t get enough time to make many Christmas Cards last year. I am determined to use some this year! I have so many ideas for it!

We actually didn’t have any of the little gold doilies so created our own with white ones and some Gold Encore Ink. We had to wait for them to dry out before using them. But … you might be able to see a slight smudge of gold ink on the black DSP??? Ooops! I was a little impatient! 😯

Thanks Carolina for such gorgeous inspiration! Hugs xx

A Starry Christmas Card

Stars Christmas (3)Hi friends!

At our last stamping play date, Leonie let me play with her new Christmas DSP “Winter Wonderland Specialty” from Stampin’ Up! (for Christmas 2015). I was so taken with it … that I decided to theme my cards for 2015 with the colour scheme from these papers.

You can see the different versions (above) of the same card created by all the girls. Some of these were heat embossed … some just inked and stamped. So … I still have heaps of supplies left over because I ran out of time last Christmas and didn’t end up creating many Christmas cards at all. I imagine it might be getting another run for 2016!!! 😉 LOL!

Hope you are having a great day!

Owl Punch – Santa & Reindeer

Santa & Elves Owls (4)Hi again!

How cute is this one! It is another that Leonie found for us … but I went searching for the original and found it over at Darlene Design. This owl punch just keeps on giving … don’t you think? We had fun making this one and it came together very quickly.

Stampin’ Up! – Gorgeous Grunge (snow) – white heat embossed

I am a bit late for Christmas … but … hey … we can always start early this year, can’t we??? (grin)
