Hi bloggies … just some pics today! Sorry!
- Distress Oxide ink
- Gold embossing
- Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers + Water brush
- Reverse Confetti – Boho Vibes
Hope you get to stamp today!
I hope you don’t mind if I just share some pics today …
Just a couple of comments …
I was trying some foiling (I am on my “learners”!) and used a very intricate stencil. There were a few flaws but because I had used some “watercolour” type foil I actually thought the combination gave a shabby chic look so I die cut the best of the foiling and managed to salvage it for this card.
I also tried some “no line” copic colouring … using a sand coloured momento ink instead of black. This gives a lovely soft look to the image … but I feel I need some practice colouring with DARK copics for this technique. It was tricky to get definition to the image.
But … in the end … the card was very pretty and I was semi-pleased with this attempt at 2 new techniques!
Hope you get to stamp today!
Hi bloggies …
I had fun on a recent week away down the coast catching up on YouTube videos from some of my fav card makers. It was a treat to have unlimited downloads so I made the most of it! Today’s card is the result of some wonderful inspiration from Kelly Latevola … I just had to try this watercolour scene as soon as I got home to my craft goodies!
Kelly’s video tutorial can be found here –> YouTube – Kelly’s card.
I was pretty tickled with the result.
Have a great day!
I have had some fun with some new goodies …
I finally caved and got some of the new Distress Oxide inks. The colours in the 2nd release were more to my taste … plus i got 4 from the 1st release! I am TOTALLY SOLD on these new inks! Yes! …. they blend “like butter” and are very forgiving. They react beautifully with water … they are great for stamping on dark card … and work well for heat embossing. I won’t be getting rid of my dye inks … but am LOVING using these new ones!
I had a lovely, lovely day at Camp Papercraft … and am eager to go again. I just hope it warms up a little … the weather in Robertson at this time of the year is a little chilly!

These last two photos were taken before I had decided on sentiments. I decided to use the green one for my Seth’s 4th birthday coming up in August! (Grandson)

Hi my friends!
Saturday was a wonderful day of celebrating for us as a family! Our son Shane was married to his gorgeous bride, Stacey. (Yes … We now have TWO Staceys in our immediate family!) We are so thrilled to see Shane & Stacey married and starting their own family and the wedding was an amazingly joyful event with lots of beautiful memories. I don’t have too many photos to share … But will add some more when we have them edited and when the formal ones arrive.
I wanted to share a little “crafty” project I did for the amazing DONUT WALL that was part of the celebrations! We had an afternoon tea at the church before moving onto the formal reception at the Woolshed at Yallah. This simple idea was a HUGE HIT with the guests!
Stacey’s dad painted the boards in a metallic rose gold … I did the rest of the decorating with ivy, flowers, candles … And a few handmade items … Please click on photos – you will see them in much better detail!
The donuts were hung to spell L-O-VE and we had some yummy donut holes (cinnamon sugar donut balls) in glass jars too! Shane & Stace were thrilled with the result.
I hand painted all the canvases (30x30cm) … the sentiments were found via Google! The smaller wooden signs were done simply with white chalk markers. Hope your weekend was as happy and as special as ours! Hugs xxx
Hello my friends!
The story of my life … busy … busy … busy! But … it is happy busy … so I am not complaining!
This card happens to be a stunner! And … I say that with all sincerity … the photos just don’t do it justice! The gorgeous Emma Background image has been embossed with gold embossing powder (left card) and with gold glitter embossing powder (right card). Both are amazing and I love both … but there is something about the sparkle and shine of the glitter embossing that just is mesmerising! (Particularly IRL!)
The images are coloured with COPIC markers … and yes … it did take some time to do these cards!!! But … so worth the effort!
I am going to find it hard to part with these two … will have to find someone special to give them to! 😉
Hope you are all having a great day! I am sorry I have done absolutely NO blog hopping of late. I am missing all my blog friends … but one of these days I might stop long enough and also have enough internet download Gigs to allow myself some indulgent delights! Until then … happy stamping!
I am supposed to be doing some painting of signs for the wedding deco … but just popped by quickly to add another card! I hope you are enjoying my latest creations! ??????
This was super fun! I sat in front of the TV one night and coloured all the images (with Copics) … enough for 2 cards! Very relaxing and satisfying!
And … of course … I had to add sparkle and shimmer to this one! I just can’t help myself! 😉
Only 2 weeks until the wedding! I had better stop procrastinating and go do that ‘stuff’! See you again soon! Hugs xxx
Just a quick post today … trying to get on top of a long “to do” list. How about this cutie pie stamp!!! I just love it!
I am wishing I was more generous with the sequins … and that I had dusted the edge of the inside tape. But … you get the general idea! 😉 Don’t you just love the sentiment! (I stamped it inside the card.)
