Happiness is stamping with friends!

A sweet little CAS!

Fast & Fabulous Sep14 (3)

Hi again!

Another scheduled post today! I am still away cruising on our cruise. This is a super quick card … but … I do love the results!

Fast & Fabulous Sep14 (2)

This is an oldie stamp set that I don’t think I will part with. I haven’t used it in ages … but I have to admit that whenever I do create with it I am always satisfied. It is a very aptly named stamp set! “Fast & Fabulous”!!  😉  There are just some stamp sets that are like that! They seem ordinary enough … but there is just something about them! Do you have any like that? I have a few.

This is a triple white layered card. The image has been stamped three times without re-inking between stamping. I’m not sure if you can see the tiny bit of sparkle added to the flowers?

Take care … See you soon. Hugs xx

Fast & Fabulous Sparkle

Fast & Fabulous VW'13 (4)Hi bloggies!

I am hoping I might get some stamping done today … but must be self disciplined and do my house cleaning first! Sandy is occupied with a friend from church … so perhaps I might get to my craft desk sometime? I already have this post ready to go … and so here is today’s card …….

Fast & Fabulous VW'13 (1)Fast & Fabulous VW'13 (3)This card was such a fast & fabulous one to make! Pardon the pun! 😀 It is so pretty IRL (in real life) … but the photos don’t really do it justice! The inspiration for this card was a gorgeous creation by Marion Vagg. I have actually added an extra layer to mine … and some bling (of course!) … and used a different colour card … but basically it is the same! 😀 The flowers are white embossed and coloured with SU! markers. Then I have added some Dazzling Details to the petals. Super Q&E but really effective! A CARD RECIPE with all the details is at the end of this post!

I have another couple of cards to share … this first is another CASE via Pinterest …

Sympathy Grahame Jan'14Card Inspiration: Loll Thompson

And … the next card was just something I was playing around with one day …

Balloons MasD'13The main penguin image is actually a clip art picture from the internet that I printed out and then I coloured the beak and feet with markers! The balloons are die cuts from Frantic Stamper (Elizabeth Craft Designs). So … when you can’t find a suitable stamp image … try a black & white print out of some clip art! Worked for me! 😀

Well … better go and do that cleaning! See you all soon! Hugs xxx

Milestone Birthdays and Acetate!

50th Birthday LL'14 (3)Hi bloggies!

I am off to Queensland tomorrow with my mum & my sis to visit my other sister for her 50th birthday! So … If I am not around for a few days you will know why! It was also my mum’s 75th birthday in July … so this is to be a double celebration. I don’t think I have shared the cards I made for either birthday yet?

50th Birthday LL'14 (1)This first one is for my little sister! She is 2 1/2 years younger than me … and when I saw this fab design … I just new I had to try it for someone special. It is a little hard to photograph … so I took several views so you could get the right effect! There is NO stamping on this card! But … it is really pretty IRL! Card Inspiration: HERE!

I love the pretty papers on this card! The colour combo is gorgeous! They are from a SU! paper stack pad called “Fresh Prints”.

Language of Love MumB Jul'14 (5)My second card was original NOT an acetate card … but I decided to put the layout onto acetate. Then … I decided to make it into my very first easel card. Yes!!! I know it may seem incredible … but … I have NEVER done an easel card before!!!

Language of Love MumB Jul'14 (1)As if I wasn’t challenging myself enough … I just HAD to add some Crystal Effects to the little hearts! Mistake! 😦 The colours ran … but … alas … it was too late! The card was already together and finished! But … my mum was pleased with it just the same! Again … it was a little hard to photograph! Card Inspiration: HERE!

The pretty “Hearts A Flutter” heart was the perfect “stop” for the easel card. I just wish I could contain myself and keep things a little more simple sometimes! 🙄

Petite Pairs JA'14 (4)So … I just thought I would add a bonus acetate card that I made back in May for Julie’s birthday.

Petite Pairs JA'14 (1)This was also a Pinterest discovery! But … I did change it up a little! The sparkly silver glimmer card is a big winner on this one … for sure! Card Inspiration: HERE!

Well … thanks so much for popping by! I need to go and get some packing done! Will pop back after I return from my trip to Toowoomba! (I arrive home Sunday night.)

Pretty in Pink

Pink Flowers LB'13 (3)Hi bloggies!

Please don’t fall over in a dead faint! I am here to share some creativity. 😀  I still have several card creations sitting in my computer files to share that have card recipes ready  (from months ago when time was my friend). I also have heaps more photos of cards that I have not had the time to prepare recipes for but will share with you anyway! Hopefully I will be here semi-regularly to do so! 😉 (BUT … don’t hold your breath!) Here is a pretty in pink creation … CASEd via Pinterest from Lisa A “I’m in Haven“. Lisa’s blog is an all time favourite of mine and I stalk it all the time! 😉

Pink Flowers LB'13 (1)

The stamping is done with Sahara Sand ink and I used a white chalk pencil to draw the petal designs on the punched flowers. Pink Flowers LB'13 (4)The pink gingham ribbon was a nice soft finishing touch! This was a really quick and easy design.

Here is another (bonus) card using some of the sweet new papers from the most recent SU! sale-a-bration catalogue ……..

B'day Audrey Jan'14

The colours are just lovely to work with. You can see some of the other goodies from the last seasonal catty, too. I am a HUGE fan of the new sequin fad … and you will see them popping up on lots of my latest creations! There are two new stamp sets here (seasonal catty) called “Happy Watercolour” & “Perfect Pennants”.

Well … I hope you have enjoyed this VERY OVERDUE post! I have missed being here … and missed sharing with my blog friends. I am so thrilled that you have continued to support me via my pinterest page … and I have been following many of YOUR blogs regularly via my Feedly Feed reader. Alas … no time for comments but I have enjoyed seeing (& pinning) your creations for future reference & CASE-ing! 🙂

Keep smiling! Hugs xxx

Hello there!

Papillion Potpourri Feb'13 (3)Hi bloggies!

At the craft retreat I went to in February I saw some wonderful projects that were made using some new SU! goodies! I had been trying so hard to resist … but came home and just HAD TO order some. They arrived a little while ago … but I have only just had a little time to play with them. This is my first card using new “Papillion Potpourri” stamp set … and the 2 new butterfly punches! So quick & easy to put a delicious card together!

Papillion Potpourri Feb'13 (1)

Papillion Potpourri Feb'13 (4)I added some “Dazzling Details” to the butterflies … a quick alternative to embossing with bling … but it does tend to make the ink bleed a little. Still a nice effect, though!

It is school holidays for the next two weeks. I love the ‘non-routine’ of the holidays. Skye only has 1 week off uni (next week) … so I hope to do a few things with her and Sandy. I also have Gav’s brother-in-law & a mission colleague coming to stay with us for 8 days on Monday … so do have to do some preparations for that. So … time for blogging will be a little tricky! I will be back asap, though! My back is still niggling … so sometimes I just don’t feel like sitting in front of the computer at the end of a busy day! Hope you stick with me, though! 😉 Hope you have a nice day!
