Dazzling Diamond Dust – Engagement

INK4U!

Hello blog buddies!

I am kinda excited about today’s card. Over at INK4U! Diane has organised a colour challenge that is a little tricky!  I was rather scared of it to begin with … but as the girls started posting their creations using this colour combo … I realised how much I really liked it! So … I thought I would give it a go! Funny thing … I decided to combine this with the latest Stamping 411 sketch … and after I had finished I realised that Sonia had also used this sketch to create her colour challenge card. How freaky! This card is also suitable for the new SUO (Stampin’ Up Only) Challenge … which asks for “May Flowers” on your card! Access challenge blogs by clicking on challenge pics … you will love the samples from each of the design teams! 🙂

INK4U!I am sure you have all seen the Dazzling Diamonds Dust technique before … but for those who haven’t … I have included the details for this technique on my card recipe. It is truly a stunning technique that is super easy. It has a real WOW factor! I do hope you can see the pretty sparkle in the “close up” photos! It was a little tricky to photograph. I just love these flowers from the Punch Potpourri set! Aren’t they the sweetest!

INK4U!So … I thought I would quickly post this today … before I do anything else. I missed the last Stamping 411 deadline with yesterday’s card … so I was determined to get this one in on time! I am off to have lunch with my dear bestie, Tania! We haven’t had a good chat in ages … so it will be nice to relax and catch up! Take care … see you all soon! Hugs xxaxx

    Hi Andrea,
Wow i love the dazzling diamonds dust effect, it looks great, i have seen it before, but didnt know how it was done , so thanks for the details on how to do it.

i hope everything is fine on the home front….
how has your Dad has settled in
and how is your mum is doing without your dad around….and how is your wee grand-daughter doing, i bet she is already growing too fast.
Andrea adds: Hi Sharna! Thanks for all your interest … not just in my cards … but in me too! 😀 Dad is starting to get stronger … although we have just had news this morning that he has had a fall & is off to hospital for an x-ray (precautionary). He is still sad at being “separated” from mum … and is still pretty confused about why he is there … but I think each day helps him to adjust … we just need to be patient. Mum is enjoying her “freedom” … and you can see the effects of the burden lifted. She seems very settled about the decision. Bree is gorgeous … and a little treasure … and we just love having her in our lives! Glad the technique details helped … I am never sure if it is worth putting these card recipes on my posts … but if it is a help … it is worth the time & effort! 😀 hugs xxaxx

Love this take on the double challenge. Just goes to show how differently everyone’s minds think. We both started with the same basic bits and yet have turned out two totally different cards.
And yes the Bling is adorable!
    Cheers

Andrea adds: Yes … we did a double challenge at Clayton’s Convention (colour/sketch) … and every card was completely different! I will show you all those cards here sometime soon! Hugs xxaxx
