A 40th Birthday!

Hello Everyone!

I had a little time yesterday afternoon … and was absolutely itching to do a challenge card … so checked out a couple of my favourite blog challenges … (click on pics to visit challenge blogs to see other fab entries!)

So … embossing … and a sketch … should be easy enough to combine!!! I can tell you … this is for a VERY SPECIAL friend’s 40th birthday … so a lot of love went into it! I hope she enjoys getting this in the mail! Ssssshhhh! Don’t tell her! 😀 😉

The embossing is done with copper embossing powder (ret. SU!) … and then I have added some soft watercoloured ink to each of the images. I actually pulled out my markers & a saucer … and “painted” some of the marker colour onto a saucer and picked up the colour with my aqua painter. This is a good hint for watercolouring if you don’t have a stamp pad to “squeeze” the ink onto the lid.

Yes! That is a watermark on my pics that you can see! Finally, I have found a program to do this … although not entirely satisfactory … as I can’t place the watermark exactly where I want it. And … I can’t seem to get it any bigger … But … it is ok! I have been wanting to do this for ages … and it has been one of those things on the “to do” list that I just hadn’t got around to! (Thanks Debbie for the help!) You will still see a few pics coming through without the watermark … ones that I have already uploaded and not published yet! But … eventually I will have them all marked! Hhhhmmmm …. aren’t I getting a bit too professional! LOL! Never!!! 😉

Have a happy day! Stampin’ Hugs xxx

Andrea adds: I love using it! I notice they have a similar one in the US catty … perhaps you should wait and see what the new catty brings? But … then … what if we don’t get that one … and this one disappears??? 😀 😉 Oh … what to do???? LOL!
