Helping Hudson Week 2 Colour Challenge

Hi to all my wonderful blog friends!

The boys have just settled down to watch “Clash of the Titans” … not my kind of movie … and with both girls out tonight … I thought I would take a moment to do a quick card for the Helping Hudson Week 2 Challenge. (I have been trying to get to do one all week!) I decided the colours were perfect (sadly) for a sympathy card I needed to make. A dear friend of ours in Brisbane lost their son this week. He was only about 20 yrs old. I can’t even begin to imagine their sadness & grief … but I know that they are finding strength and comfort in the knowledge that God is with them at this time and that they have many friends praying for them.

I have just put this BRAND NEW stamp set together and inked it up for the first time! It is a sneak peek of the new Level 2 hostess set from the 2010/2011 IB&C … and is called “Fast & Fabulous”. One of my all time favourite “2-step” stamp sets is retiring (Heartfelt Thanks) … so I am glad that there is one that will suitably take its place! I have lots of ideas in my head for this lovely stamp set … but I was also focusing on the Clean & Simple #103 layout … so I kept this one simple. It seemed appropriate for a sympathy card. Sorry about the photos … night time … and flash always seem to wash out the colours and make it too bright! 😀

So … I think I might call it a day! 😀 My plan was to snuggle up in bed with “The Last Song”! I bought the DVD a week ago … and haven’t had a chance to watch it yet … although … I did see it at the movies with the girls! Sounds like a good plan for the  end of a busy week … but now I have finished the card & the post it is just going on 10pm … I don’t think I will make it through a whole movie! (I am getting old … you know!) Oh! The boys also just finished their movie! Take care, everyone … and I hope you are enjoying your weekend! Stampin’ Hugs xxx

I love the way you have utilised the colours for the card Andrea. these are never the easiest cards to do and espesially for someone so young. I especially love the way you haev used the flowers on the corners on the Choc Chip. I have seen the Fast & Fab set in the US catty. It is beautiful. I too LURVE my Heartfelt Thanks….and can’t see myself parting with it for a bit..hee hee hee. It IS tho a stunning substitute and looks so pretty in the blue.
As for the Titans VDO..let the boys HAVE it!! I crafted basically all day y’day 9barring kid/hubby/crisis interruptions and got 2 OVERDUE projects done. It has clouded over here gloomily today…and me thingst it may be cold at AFL!!. Have a fab day darl. ooxx
Andrea adds: Hey darl! Did you go to the AFL??? I think this set is going to be a winner! Loving it already! The boys were welcome to their DVD … and while they are busy … I can stamp without feeling guilty! Glad you managed to do some crafting yesterday, too! Hugs xxAxx
