Cherish Mothers Day

Hello everyone!

Last night I had a few minutes to play … so I popped by the Stamping 411 & Just Add Ink challenge sites! It was fun to put these two challenges together … (click on challenge pics to visit websites) …

and this is what I came up with …

I think this will make a lovely Mother’s Day card for Gav’s mum. Isn’t this little flourish stamp from the Vintage Vogue set just so sweet! It makes FAB backgrounds! The frame around the DSP is Barely Banana card … but for some reason the colours aren’t quite accurate in the pic. Must be the early morning light! 😉

I also managed to get a 2nd Mother’s Day Card … and Sandy’s Birthday Card finished … so I will be back sometime soon to share those with you!

We have had a house guest for the last 2 nights. We welcomed a complete stranger  into our home … but he is a lovely young man who happens to be cycling from Perth to Brisbane. He rang the minister from our church to ask for accommodation for the weekend. His name is Nathan … and he has taken a year off from his medicine degree at uni … to spend some time with God! It was lovely to meet him … but he has left this morning … and we probably will never meet him again. Don’t you find it interesting that God sometimes brings people into your life for a brief moment … and then they are gone again!? It does make life that little more intriguing! Anyway … gotta go. It is the kids’ last day of hols … so I don’t wanna be stuck at the computer all day! Sandy is off to Yr 6 camp on Wednesday … so have to pop out and get a couple of things for him.  And … I probably should get a head start on the newsletter … so that tomorrow isn’t too much of a stress to get it finished on time! Have a nice day, everyone! Stampin’ Hugs xxx

  1. So pretty! Isn’t it odd how some of these colours look in different lights? The good part is that you have another colour combination that works… lol Thanks for playing! 🙂

    Hi Andrea

what a lovely card, so fairytale.

I was wondering if you would like to do a magazine swap?
3 or 4 Aus cardmaking / scrapbooking magazines for the same from the UK market.
I did it some years back a few times with fellow crafters from the U S.
If it’s something that you dont fancy then please dont feel that you cant say no.

Thank you for stopping by mt blog everyday it is so uplifting to feel that i’m inspiring someone else. I took all of the punch art samples to the crop on Saturday & was amazed at the reception from people there, I must work on some more.

Take care now & have a great day.

Andrea adds: Thanks for your kind compliment. I have enjoyed visiting your blog and seeing your wonderful creations! The magazine swap sounds intriguing … I have never done one before! I’m not sure that we would have as large a range as you do in the UK … but I’m sure I could find a few magazines to send. Postage is probably the biggest cost, though! I send things to my sis in Vanuatu … and it is really expensive for postage! But … perhaps to the UK is a lot more reasonable. I will check it out anyway! Keep in touch! Hugs, Andrea xxx

Wow Andrea, this card is so PURDY. I had to use the card recipe (cause ur right…the colours aren’t what my brain recognised). The vellum touch is so very sweet. I love it. fab that you are (partially) organised for Mother’s day. Beautiful card.
Glad that u have had someone ‘ride on through’ your life. I am sure that Nathan is very grateful for your hospitality and kindness to help him through his journey. I must be pearched outside your ‘e-house’ at the bus stop….LOL! ooxx
Andrea adds: LOL … you would always be very welcome … but … I’m sure you know that! I just wish the colours on this card showed up better. It really is a lovely combination and looks great IRL. Hugs, Andrea xxx
